Self care
Use cotton nightwear, sleep on a towel or folded sheet, throwing it out of the bed when it becomes wet.
Sleep deprivation is believed to be a cause of peri-menopausal depression. Flushes disrupt sleep and dreaming patterns. When oestrogen levels are increased, sleep patterns return to normal.
Do not have a hot bath before bed. Wash your feet in cool water before bed.
Do not drink alcohol in the evening or eat anything sugary. A rich meal including beef or lamb can cause an uncomfortable night.
Drink plenty of water during the day.
How can I help?
A personalised herbal prescription will treat your individual symptoms. This can be determined through a detailed case history taking, Body Scanning and if needs be, a Blood Chemistry Analysis. I give practical advice and dietary help.
